THE ARRANGEMENT
Emma Chen has her life perfectly organized: a successful career, a close-knit
family, and a carefully maintained friendship with her colleague James
Mitchell. But when her younger sister's wedding invitation arrives—along
with news that her ex-boyfriend Michael will attend with his new fiancée—
Emma makes an impulsive decision. She asks James to be her fake boyfriend
for six weeks, just long enough to get through the wedding.
The rules seem simple: maintain professionalism at work, convince her family
they're in love, and most importantly, no real feelings. But as James charms
her family and their practice sessions begin feeling less like rehearsal and
more like reality, Emma finds herself breaking the most important rule of
all—the one about not falling in love.
When their carefully constructed charade starts affecting their careers and
office rumors threaten their professional reputation, Emma and James must
decide what matters more: maintaining their perfect arrangement or
admitting that sometimes the best love stories start with a lie.
Set against the backdrop of bustling corporate life and traditional family
expectations, "The Arrangement" explores the fine line between pretense and
truth, friendship and love, and the courage it takes to risk a perfect friendship
for the chance at something even more perfect.
